Clueprints are different from Templates. Templates are individual intro and outro slides you insert into a video. Clueprints are full video templates that define the entire visual style, structure, and tone of a video from start to finish.
What’s inside a Clueprint
A Clueprint stores a complete set of style rules that Clueso Agent follows when building your video:- Layouts for different clip types (intro, feature walkthrough, comparison, outro, and more)
- Design rules covering colours, typography, backgrounds, animations, captions, image handling, and effects
- Voiceover guidance for tone, pacing, and script style
- Music preferences
- General instructions that describe the overall approach
Browsing Clueprints
Open Clueprints from the left sidebar. You will see three tabs:- Personal shows Clueprints you have created yourself
- Workspace shows Clueprints shared across your team
- Community shows Clueprints published by Clueso and other creators
Creating a video from a Clueprint
1
Open the Clueprints page
Click Clueprints in the left sidebar to browse available Clueprints.
2
Pick a Clueprint
Browse the Personal, Workspace, or Community tabs and click on a Clueprint that fits what you are building.
3
Click Create video
In the detail view, click Create video. This opens a new project with the Clueprint’s style rules already loaded.
4
Describe your video
Type your prompt describing the video you want. Clueso Agent uses the Clueprint’s rules to handle the layout, design, and structure automatically. You just focus on the content.
Creating your own Clueprint
Click the + New clueprint button in the top right corner. You will see three options:- From scratch starts with a blank Clueprint. You define every rule yourself.
- From a project creates a Clueprint based on an existing video project. Clueso extracts the style rules from that project so you can reuse them.
- Import clueprint lets you import a Clueprint file that someone has shared with you.
From a project
This is the fastest way to create a Clueprint. If you already have a video that looks the way you want, Clueso analyses it and extracts the design rules, layouts, and structure into a new Clueprint. You can then fine-tune the rules in the editor. From scratch
This gives you a blank Clueprint with the full file tree. You write or edit each rule file directly:- instructions.md for general guidance
- layouts/ for clip layout definitions
- design/ for colours, typography, backgrounds, animations, captions, images, music, and effects
- script/voiceover-guidance.md for voiceover tone and pacing
Editing a Clueprint
Open a Clueprint and click Edit this Clueprint. You will see the full file tree on the left and a rendered preview on the right. Click any file to edit its rules directly. Changes are saved automatically.Sharing a Clueprint
When you create a Clueprint, it starts as Personal (visible only to you). You can change its visibility:- Personal is private to your account
- Workspace makes it available to everyone in your team
- Community publishes it for all Clueso users
When to use a Clueprint
- Brand consistency when your team produces videos that should all follow the same visual identity
- Repeatable formats like weekly product updates, customer tutorials, or onboarding walkthroughs
- Faster creation when you want to skip the design phase and go straight to writing content
- Onboarding new teammates so they can produce on-brand videos without learning every design decision
