Transitions make your videos smoother and more engaging by adding visual effects between two clips. Instead of jumping abruptly from one clip to the next, you can apply a transition to create a seamless flow—whether it’s a fade, slide, or other effect.

Apply a transition

In the video editor timeline, hover your mouse between two clips. A Transitions button will appear at the boundary—click it to open the transitions menu.Screenshot2025 08 19at9 55 48PM Pn

Choose a transition style

A menu of available transition effects will appear (e.g., Fade, Slide, Wipe, etc.). Click to select the one you want.Screenshot2025 08 19at9 56 39PM Pn

Adjust the transition settings

Once you select a transition, you can customize it:Duration: Set how long the transition lasts (short for a quick cut, or longer for a smoother blend).Direction (for some transitions, like Slide or Wipe).Color (for certain transitions, like fades to color).
