Templates let you save your frequently used intros, outros, and slides so you can reuse them in future videos without starting from scratch.

Creating an intro template

Let’s start with an example: modifying the intro slide on a video and saving it as a template.
1

Open the Intro Clip

Place your playhead on the intro clip in the timeline to display the intro slide in the video editor.c9e20061-99a8-43ba-9838-a01dbf3d928a.gif

Save as Template

From the left menu, go to Templates > Save current clip as template.
  • Ensure the label is set to Intro.
  • (Optional) Set it as the default Intro template. If you do this, it will be automatically applied in future videos.
  • Click Save clip. 2606000d-8c08-4e7f-8ea4-94d7eda16b86 (1).gif
Your intro template now appears under Templates > My Templates > Intro.
Any templates you save will be visible under My Templates. Pre-made templates provided by Clueso come in Library.

Creating an outro template

To create an outro template, follow the same steps as above, but this time:
  1. Select the Outro clip in the timeline.
  2. Adjust the background, logo, and text.
  3. Label the template as Outro.
  4. (Optional) Set it as the default Outro.
Your outro template will appear under Templates > My Templates > Outro and is ready to reuse.

Creating a generic slide template

Generic slide templates are useful for chapter breaks, content slides, or reusable branded layouts that aren’t tied to intros/outros.
  1. Above the timeline, click Add Clip > Blank Clip.
  2. Open the Background panel and select a background color, image, or upload your own.
  3. Add placeholder text, logos, or icons that you want to reuse across slides.
  4. Go to Templates > Save current clip as template.
    • Choose from the available labels to categorize your template
  5. You’ll now find it under Templates > My Templates under the label category you’ve set.
The next time you add a slide, you can instantly insert this template instead of rebuilding it from scratch.
