# Spotlight

> Learn how to add and customize spotlight elements to focus attention on specific areas in your videos

Spotlight elements help you focus viewer attention on specific parts of your video by creating highlighted areas with customizable styling.

Follow these steps to add a spotlight to your video:

    Move your cursor to the desired position on the timeline where you want to
    add a spotlight, then navigate to the **Elements** option on the left menu.

    Click on the element to access the spotlight settings. Modify the background
    color and border radius. In the Animation section, you can adjust the
