# Zoom screenshots

> Learn how to enhance your article's screenshots by adding zoom effects to highlight specific areas

Enhance your article's screenshots by adding a zoom effect. This lets you focus the reader's attention on the most important part of an image.

  <Step title="Open the screenshot editor">
    Hover over the screenshot you want to zoom in on and click the **pen icon** in the toolbar at the top right of the image.

  <Step title="Switch to Crop mode">
    In the editor, click the **Crop** tool in the left toolbar. The right panel will now show a **Zoom** slider alongside the aspect ratio controls.

  <Step title="Adjust the zoom">
    Drag the **Zoom** slider in the right panel to zoom in or out (100%–300%). You can also click and drag inside the image to pan and re-centre the zoomed view on the area you want to highlight.

  <Step title="Save your changes">
    Once you're happy with the result, click **Crop image** at the bottom of the right panel to apply the zoom.
