# Video export limits

> Learn how the video export limit is calculated

Clueso's pricing is based on two factors:

1. The **number of seats** in your workspace
2. The **minutes of video exports** per billing cycle

## How export minutes are calculated

For each video, minutes are counted based on the **longest version of that video** that you export or publish.

* Exporting the same video multiple times in the same billing cycle does not multiply usage.
* Only the longest exported version counts against your limit.
* This ensures you're not penalized for re-exports.

> **Example 1: Basic editing**
>
> * You create a 5-minute video.
> * After adding an AI voiceover, the final length is 3 minutes. When exported, **3 minutes** count toward your limit.
> * Later, you extend the video to 4 minutes and export again. Only the **additional 1 minute** counts.
> * **Total**: **4 minutes** count against your limit — not 7.

## Translated videos

When you use [Magic Translate](/translation/translate) or **Duplicate**, a **new copy** of your video is created in the chosen language.

* Each translated video is treated as its own video.
* Exporting a translation counts its full length against your limit.

> **Example 2: Translations**
>
> * Original English video = 3 minutes
> * Translated into 3 additional languages (French, Spanish, German)
> * Exported in all 4 languages
> * **Total**: **12 minutes** counted against your limit (3 minutes x 4 versions)

## Key takeaways

* Only the **longest exported version** of a video in a billing cycle counts.
* Re-exports don't double-count unless the video length increases.
* Translated versions **each count separately** toward your export limit.

## FAQs

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="If I make small edits and re-export, do those minutes count again?">
    No. Only the **longest exported version** of the video is counted. If your edits don't increase the length, your usage does not go up.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I roll over unused export minutes into the next cycle?">
    No. Export limits reset at the start of each billing cycle, and unused minutes do not carry over.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do view-only links and iFrame embeds count against my export limit?">
    Yes. Any **export or publish action** (including view-only links and embeds) counts toward your export limit.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do recorded videos count against my export limit?">
    Simply recording a video does not count toward your export limit. Minutes are only counted when you **export** or **publish** the video.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="If I delete a video, do the minutes still count?">
    Yes. Once a video has been exported or published, the minutes are counted for that billing cycle, even if the video is later deleted.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens if I reach my export limit?">
    You won't be able to export or publish new videos until your next billing cycle starts, unless you purchase additional export credits or upgrade your plan.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do all file formats (MP4, GIF, etc.) count separately?">
    No. Exporting the same video in multiple formats does not increase your usage. Only the longest version of the video in that cycle is counted.
